Programming your Henny Penny Combi Oven

Hello everyone, and welcome back to our ‘Now You Know’ series at Five Points! Here, we offer you a plethora of tips and tricks to make the most out of your Henny Penny appliances. Today, we’re in the Five Point Demo Kitchen with Scotty to learn how to create and save your own custom recipe on the Henny Penny Flex Fusion Space Saver Combi oven. There are an infinite number of combinations you can explore. So, let’s jump right in!

Step-by-Step Guide: Programming Your Custom Recipe

1. Start from the Main Screen: Click on ‘manual cooking’. You’ll be presented with options for steaming, Combi steaming, convection, or any other cooking method you’d like to use. For this tutorial, we’ll select ‘Combi steaming’.

2. Setting Parameters: A menu will pop up with various parameters to set. The first one will be ‘temperature’. Adjust the slide settings to your desired temperature.

3. Time Options: Next, choose a time option. There are several to select from, including ‘core temperature probe’ which reads the internal temperature of a food product, ‘non-stop cooking’ and ‘time cooking’. Just like before, simply slide to your desired parameter and click ‘ok’.

4. Humidity Level: With temperature and time set, we now need to adjust our humidity level. This can range from zero (very dry) to 100 (very humid). For our tutorial, we’ll select 70.

5. Additional Parameters: Scroll up to find additional parameters such as ‘fan speed’.

6. Add a Step: Scroll up one more time to insert a step from left to right. Select the cooking mode that you’d like for your second step and follow the same adjustments as the first step to set temperature, time, and humidity. You can set up to 16 different steps, but for the sake of time, let’s limit this to two.

7. Save Your Program: Select ‘additional functions’ on the left, then ‘save cooking program’. First, give your program a name. Once you’ve named your program, press ‘ok’. Select a category that best fits your food product – we’re going to choose ‘baking’. If needed, you can select a subcategory to more narrowly define where your program is located.

8. Saving Options: Scroll through the remaining options and simply press ‘save’. After a few seconds, the oven will register the saved program. Press ‘OK’ and ‘back’.

9. Finding Your Program: To see where your program is, click the home button and then ‘Auto Chef’. If you have a favorites menu, hit the ‘Auto Chef’ icon again. Select the category and any subcategory you saved your program to. There’s your custom recipe!
